Yes. Many restaurants display an Oenvy QR code at the table. Scan it to see sommelier-curated pairings for that restaurant's actual menu and wine list — not generic suggestions. There is also a feature to scan any restaurant menu and wine list and pair your favorite dishes or reverse pair with wine first.

How long does setup take?

What are credits?

Credits meter the sommelier-review work behind menu and wine list changes. Not everything costs a credit — typo fixes, price updates, allergen edits, and hiding items are all free and self-serve. Credits are spent when you add a new dish, swap a dish, or add/swap a wine — anything that requires a new pairing. Each tier includes an annual credit allotment, and overage packs are available if you need more.

What happens if I run out of credits?

You can purchase overage packs: 10 credits for $99, 25 credits for $199, 50 credits for $349. Restaurants that consistently buy two or more overage packs a year have usually outgrown their tier — upgrading is almost always the better value.

What is margin-aware pairing?

On Premium and Signature, you can flag wines you want to move — high-margin selections, inventory you've negotiated good terms on, bottles you want to promote. The pairing engine biases toward those wines when the pairing quality allows. If a featured wine is a genuinely worse match, the engine recommends the better wine. Pairing quality always wins — margin tilts the tiebreakers, never the base case.

What is reverse pairing?

Instead of starting from a dish and finding a wine, reverse pairing starts from a wine and finds the dishes on your menu that pair best with it. Useful when a guest already knows what they want to drink, or when you're trying to move a specific bottle.

What is the Sommelier Certified badge?

Signature tier restaurants earn a Sommelier Certified badge — a certification mark confirming that every pairing on their list has been personally reviewed by a certified sommelier. It's available for use on menus, websites, and marketing materials.

Does Oenvy notify my staff when the menu changes?

Oenvy notifies the GM or admin when a pairing-relevant menu change is complete — with fresh tech sheets ready to distribute. We don't push directly to staff. Restaurants already have systems for internal communication (POS, staff apps, pre-shift meetings) — Oenvy delivers the content, and the GM distributes it through whatever channel already works.

Can multiple people on my team use Oenvy?

Standard includes 1 user (admin). Premium supports up to 5 users with Admin, Manager, and Staff roles. Signature supports up to 15 users with unlimited locations. Roles are scoped to how restaurants already think about hierarchy — admins manage billing and users, managers handle menu and analytics, staff get view-only access to pairings and tech sheets.
